PC Specialist

Purpose:

To ensure computer automation systems function effectively and to resolve user and system related problems.

Nature & Scope:

Position holder is responsible for performing or assisting in the overall maintenance and operation of the computer system(s) for given locations Northern and Central Indiana based out of Greenwood , Indiana . Monitoring occurs on both a daily and an ongoing basis and entails the administering of system security and control, scheduling the availability of system resources, and foreseeing growth needs of the system. The position requires knowledge of company operations in order to develop optimal business computer systems. Responsibility for performing and/or coordinating system maintenance requires familiarity with computer hardware and software. Strong problem-solving, technical and analytical skills are essential to resolve user or mechanical problems. Flexibility, organizational skills and sound time management practices are needed to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required for interactions with employees, managers and outside contacts and for training responsibilities. Due to constant development, integration and deployment of systems and services, as well as problem resolution, this position demands flexibility and the ability to prioritize and to meet deadlines. This position demands reliability, thoroughness, integrity and the ability to follow instructions. Since the position provides support of a responsible nature, a high degree of discretion is essential.

Responsibilities:

Perform or assist with the following:

  1. Facilitates optimal function of the computer system(s) by monitoring system performance, scheduling maintenance, upgrading and maintaining all computers and peripherals and training company personnel.
  2. Serves as a liaison between system users and technology for the purpose of identifying and resolving user or mechanical problems.
  3. Install and test various software/hardware applications for new and existing locations. Update current software adhering to predetermined guidelines and deadlines.
  4. Conducts training sessions for personnel on new and existing procedures and system applications. Provide written documentation as a reference for problem solving and system use.
  5. Communicate system upgrades to users, ensuring departments utilize new capabilities to their advantage.
  6. Ensures data integrity by consistently performing/monitoring system backups.
  7. Maintain equipment inventory lists (i.e. location, serial number, make/model, etc) for given locations.
  8. Ensure company compliance to hardware/software regulations.
  9. Maintain all virus protection software.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Transaction Manager

Principal Duties:

Manage the real estate closing process from start to finish.

Comply with real estate contracts, lenders instructions, title requirements, company requirements and other written instructions.

Prepare and secure all closing documents necessary to insure title insurance is able to be issued at or after closing.

Conduct actual closings with customer, realtor, lenders and attorneys.

Assist customers and clients with closing related questions.

Oversee the issuance of checks, bills and statements, receipts and other documents needed to ensure customer satisfaction and issuance of title insurance.

Ensure all payoffs have been collected, mailed, delivered or wired according to instructions. Verify that all disbursements have been paid correctly.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Account Executive

Principal Duties:

Generate new business and maintain good public relations with existing customers.

Coordinate and present effective presentations on varied subject matter to customer groups. Attend business luncheons and seminars for business development purposes.

Responsible for an effective/operation of the sales/marketing department. Implement efficient sales directions and goals for the department.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Examiner/Commitment Typist

Principal Duties:

Reviews various searches, recorded documents, chain of title and applies preliminary title exceptions to property files. Prepares and types title reports, commitments, policies of title insurance, etc. for closing and issuance of final policies of title insurance using title production systems. This may include verifying an updated chain, waiving or adding objections or listing appropriate endorsements to avoid claims, and/or other actions.

Advises staff on legal description matters to resolve problems and ensure adequacy of descriptions prior to issuance of commitment. Researches statutes and interprets legal issues concerning title clearance.

Takes pro-active positions by responding to customer inquiries and resolving problems on customer files related to final clearance of outstanding title issues. Interprets and explains various sections of the title report (commitments and policies) for the customer.
